House For Sale £825,000
Chestnut Avenue South, Walthamstow, London E17

Description
A spacious 3 bedroom, chain free family home, near to Walthamstow village with a large garden and chain-free. This is a property rich in potential (check out the beautiful moulding and cornices in the hallway) and with plenty of space and extension potential.
The modern newly fitted kitchen has lots of storage and joins the diner, which could be laid out in multiple ways to incorporate a play area or snug, depending on what you need. (Both the kitchen and diner have smart new double glazed windows, as well as a new door from the kitchen to the garden).
There’s an additional reception room next to this which would make a fantastic home office or a downstairs study for anyone who needs a quiet space. There’s even a WC in there. The lounge at the front of the property is elegant and full of light from the picture Edwardian style bay, complete with sash windows, and also has a charming feature fireplace. The bedrooms are all solid doubles with a family bathroom and a master bedroom that has a lovely bedroomy shape (and again benefits from sash windows). All of it could be really stunning.
The garden is large, mostly paved, and with established shrubs and room for dining.

You’ll be living within a 10 minute walk of Walthamstow village, a cultural hub, buzzing with independent shops, cafes, bakeries and gastropubs. There’s a variety of local schools within walking distance, with 18 in the area rated between Good and Excellent by Ofsted. There’re also easy transport links with Wood Street Overground station an 8 minute walk away, getting you directly to Liverpool Street in 20 minutes, and Walthamstow Central station just one stop down for the Victoria Line.
There’re lovely local walks from your doorstep, but when you need to lose yourself in nature, the wild, green spaces of Epping Forest and Hollow Pond are only a 5 minute walk from home.
A large family property with a lot to offer, just near the village. Shall we go see.

In The Owners Words...

This has been our family home for over 50 years and holds such great memories for all of us growing up there. We will miss this wonderful house filled with space and light and the beautiful original Victorian features which have lovingly been retained .

The house in our view is located in the best part of Walthamstow, it is in a pretty road with many of the houses already restored to their Victorian glory. The property is in a cul de sac resulting in a very peaceful and quite location and has a very friendly and helpful neighbourhood with good schools, various transport links nearby, and wide open green spaces.

In all of the time we have lived here, we have never seen so much change which has resulted in Walthamstow Village blooming and continuing to grow, with Wood Street also moving in the same way.

We are very proud to have been custodians of this property for many years and we are happy to be passing it on to the next generation to enjoy as it will make a great family home with many memories to be made.
