House For Sale £365,000
Richmond Road, St. George, Bristol BS5

Description
"I bought this house as a project six years ago, from a lady who had lived in the house her entire life and before that her parents had owned it. It's rare to find a Victorian house owned by only three families these days! I fell in love with the friendly feel of the house and the potential to create a great home. What I came to love later was the incredible access to green spaces (St George park at one end of the road and Avonview Cemetery and access to Troopers Hill at the other), the nearby cycle infrastructure (the Bristol to Bath cycle path is just at the top end of St George Park) and the wonderfully friendly neighbours on this street. Having Poco deli open up just 60 paces away has also been lovely along with the vibrant and thriving shops and bars of Church Road. We've done a lot of work to the house but there is potential to do more with the garden or develop it into the roof space, as neighbours have done.

The sun floods the garden and back of the house in the afternoon and evenings, but when the Honeysuckle and Jasmine are in full bloom there's a lovely area of shade at the bottom of the garden. Our son loves to ride his bike around the garden and we've enjoyed many an evening watching the sun go down over the rooftops."

Richmond Road is situated in St George, between Church Road and Avonview Cemetery, which occupies a large space above the River Avon and its riverside walks. St George’s Park is across Church Road from Richmond Road and is one of the city’s most popular parks providing a kids play area, tennis courts, a cafe, a skate park, and a lake. St George has many exciting independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, with Richmond Road near to the very popular Poco Deli, Red Church and Orchard Café. On from this, the much-loved Bristol Loaf and The Lock-Up are staples in this community. The shops and cafes of Easton are also easily accessible via the Bristol to Bath cycle path, including East Bristol Bakery, Garden of Easton, and Bristol Sweet Mart. There are several well-regarded schools in the area, meaning this is a popular area with families. For commuters, it is a short journey into Bristol City Centre by bus, bike or car, whilst also being just a short drive from Bath and the motorway networks as well. From this side of the City Centre, Bristol Temple Meads is just a short journey away.
