General Information
'Haily-Puckle Haa' is situated at Bridge End on the island of Burra which is connected to mainland Shetland by fixed bridge links via the neighbouring island of Trondra. Burra is in fact actually two islands, West Burra and East Burra although they are linked by a causeway.

Bridge End is roughly in the middle of West Burra, a couple of miles south of the island's main population centre at Hamnavoe where the main amenities are located, these including a primary school, shop & post office, public hall and marina. There is also a garage with fuel pumps by the bridge over from Trondra whilst Bridge End itself has a marina and outdoor centre with camping area. There are several fine beaches on the island including Meal Beach to the north, and Banna Minn to the south. Further amenities can be found at Scalloway about six miles to the north, where there is more local shopping, another school, and also a public swimming pool. Lerwick is only about 11 miles away and therefore within easy commuting distance.
