This unique place has a style all its own. Located in a quiet neighbourhood of York, a short 12 minute walk from York Train Station. This gorgeous bohemian terrace has been finished with exposed wood, chipboard and with scaffolding pole shelves. With a wood burner both inside and out, margarita machine and free on street parking, The Alcove provides the perfect getaway in this glorious city.
The space:
Enter directly into the living room, which leads to the kitchen and diner towards the rear. A utility room gives access to the private yard, where there is some outdoor seating.
On the first floor are two double bedrooms and the house bathroom (shower only).
There will be some complimentary tea/coffee waiting for you which I am sure will be useful for those arriving after a long journey!
Fresh white bedding and towels are provided (hand towel and bath towel per person), as well as miniature travel sized bottles of shampoo, shower gel and soap. Other items included are a washing-up pack, toilet roll and kitchen roll, which will last a couple of days. If wish to purchase more for your stay there Corkings small convenience store a few minutes walk away.
From York Minster to Clifford’s Tower, via ghost tours and galleries to the shortest street with the longest name (Whip-Ma-Whop-Ma-Gate), from river cruises to the wizarding shops on the Shambles, York has a rich history and you’ll not be short of activities!
