House For Sale £550,000
Upper Street, Totterdown

Description
"I've lived in Totterdown for thirty years, ten years in lower Totterdown and then I moved to upper Totterdown to Upper Street for more room due to my large family, I fell in love with the garden and quirkiness of the house and beautiful views. The neighbourhood is very friendly, my children went to the local school Hillcrest. There are four parks all within walking distance which I've loved exploring at the weekends. The time has come to downsize as my kids have left home and I don't need the space or the large garden anymore. The house has got so much potential for the next owners and will make another family very happy. I will miss the bohemian feel of Totterdown and friendly and interesting people and the brightly coloured houses. There are lots of lovely local cafes and restaurants and I've spent many weekends at the boca bar in Paintworks having breakfast, lunch and dinner. Totterdown has a very community feel, there's a local magazine called Front Room and Art trails in November, bringing lots of local artists and more to the area. I will really miss the house and hope the next family make it a forever home."

Upper Street is placed to the east of Totterdown and adjacent to the beautiful Arnos Vale Cemetery. This quiet street has the best of both worlds, with a fantastic array of cafes, restaurants and independent shops on Wells Road, as well as the open green spaces of South Bristol. Places on Wells Road, such as Fox & West, an independent cafe and greengrocers selling a diversity of local produce, Bank, Totterdown Canteen and Farrow's Fish & Chips offer some of the best options in the city. Green spaces are in plentiful supply, with Arnos Vale being an idyllic Victorian garden cemetery with the Cleverchefs cafe at its heart, the incredible views of Perrett Park, as well as the 50 acres of Victoria Park. Totterdown offers easy access to and from the city, with Bath Road offering an easy link to Bath, the Portway taking you to the M5 and the M32 to the M4 and beyond. Temple Meads Train Station is also a short walk or cycle away, offering connections nationally. Travelling southwards, you find yourself in the Mendips, an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Situated at the end of a pretty Victorian terrace with views over Bristol is this four bedroom house over three floors. The house has been a well-loved family home for many years and provides masses of potential for the next owner with its impressive square footage and larger than average garden for the area. From the street, the house looks like any other terrace but it is extended both downstairs and into the loft and has more potential to be extended further into the side garden. Downstairs there is a reception room with two bay windows and plenty of original features, an impressive hallway leading to the kitchen with space for a table, a downstairs bathroom and a studio room past this which could either be a second reception room or the rooms could be opened up to provide a spacious family room/kitchen with views over the garden. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and a further bathroom and the loft is converted into the fourth bedroom. The garden must be the largest in the area and extends nearly all the way down Bath road and with some landscaping could be a wonderful space.
