Directions - From Leek, On the A53 turn right and head for the village of Thorncliffe. Go through the village past the Reform Pub on your left then you come to a sharp left hand blind bend. Proceed up the hill, over a second cattle grid and continue down the track until you reach an agricultural barn on your right. DO NOT cross the cattle grid in front of you, instead take the track bearing to the left. Continue down the track over cattle grid, past Highfields Barn on your left and carry on down the track until you reach the yard where Highfields Farm and Herdwick Barn can be found.
