SELLERS INSIGHT We have owned the property for four years, and what a happy four years they have been.

The neighbours are a mixture of ages, which gives a nice diversity among the residents. During lockdown we got to know some well by sitting out in the garden. On several occasions when working from home in the garden, one of my neighbours would even bring me bottles of beers and ice creams! Christmas cards are also sent between those who know each other. It's a real community feel.

We were attracted to this property because Chalkwell is a beautiful area, just a 10 minute walk away from Leigh on Sea and a 2 minute walk to the beach. When working in the city, it's a dream to come back to for evenings and weekends. Lots of love restaurants and wine bars are also within walking distance. A 5 minute walk away is the ridgeway which has a couple of restaurants, a new wine bar, beauty salon and a new bakery. We enjoy walking there for an evening or walks along the beach.

There are a couple of good schools nearby and the easy access to the beach is ideal for families.

We chose this property over the others that were available at the time due to the size and feeling of space. I viewed a few at the time, including one with sea views but this one stood out due to the space and being able to have a dining area as well as a lounge area. The garage and parking are also a huge positive.

I work in the city so an 8 minute walk along the seafront to the station is perfect for me. There's also easy access via road to the A127 and A13.

The owners before me decorated the property just prior to selling it so it was not lived in prior to me. They have it the lovely modern look it has today. It has a south facing lounge with glass panels to the back of the lounge which means the entire property is very light, even on a dull day.

The ideal next owner would be Either someone looking for their first property or someone looking to downsize.
Our favourite room has to be the lounge/diner due to its size and light. Perfect for entertaining guests.

We will miss this property due to the memories made in it, we will also miss our neighbours and the location.

The reason we are moving is we will be upsizing to a house in Thorpe Bay to hopefully start a family and be back nearer to my family.

Malby Lodge is just 3 miles away from Southend airport with good access A127 and A13.
