House For Sale £410,000
Westward Ho, Bideford

Description
This home is most certainly a unique and interesting prospect. Located at the popular Coral Avenue in Westward Ho!, the beach, the Royal North Devon Golf Club and a vibrant range of cafes, bars and restaurants will be at your fingertips.

This bungalow has been the subject of a massive renovation by the current owners and now offers stunning and highly contemporary living accommodation which includes a very generous En-suite Bedroom, an impressive Living / Dining Room and a wonderful Sun Room that looks out over the appealing garden.

The garden, itself, has also been the subject of considerable expenditure and is arranged over various composite decked levels. A fishpond provides a calming central feature and the view of this can be best enjoyed from the gardens top quality Summerhouse / Home Office. The garden also has an impressive Workshop which has power and light connected.

There is still room to add your stamp to this property as the Kitchen and Bathroom still have room to be further improved. There is plentiful driveway parking with this one which is in addition to a Garage.

Given that in its current configuration it has just the one Bedroom, we think this bungalow will be especially appealing to couples or as a holiday home. It would, of course, be possible to add additional Bedrooms back into the layout if desired.

This home is a one off and should be viewed to be fully appreciated.

Westward Ho! is a village, lying north of Bideford and west of Appledore. There are many country walks around the village and the outlying areas, including the popular Northam Burrows, Appledore Quay and the nearby Westward Ho! Beach. Originally called Bideford Quay, it was named Westward Ho! after Charles Kingsley’s book of the same name. Nowadays, it’s a bold mix of the old and the modern. It’s a popular spot with families that return year on year. Surfers and horse riders love the long sandy beach.

Local amenities include newsagents, mini supermarkets, take-aways and a post office. There’s also a primary school, health and dental centre and a number of churches in the area. Northam also has a decent public swimming pool and gym too. You’ll never be short of places to eat and drink with Appledore, Bideford and Abbotsham on your doorstep with their cornucopia of restaurants and pubs.

It’s within short driving distance of the Atlantic Highway (A39) that is the main feeder route across the region leading to Wadebridge in Cornwall to the south-west and to the M5 by Tiverton in the east. A bus service provides access to North Devon’s ‘capital’, Barnstaple. Bus users can also reach Bideford, Braunton, Croyde and Ilfracombe.

Directions
From Bideford Quay proceed towards Northam bypassing the village and continue onto Atlantic Way. Take the right hand turning onto Beach Road. Take the next right hand turning into Coral Avenue. Follow the road around to your right hand side and proceed gently uphill to where number 31 will be situated on your left hand side clearly displaying a numberplate.
