The property is surrounded by the beautiful Dorset countryside and is within walking distance over the fields to the local farm shop and public house. The village itself also has a public house, post office, church and doctors surgery. Traditionally, every two years there is a fair held in the village to celebrate the rebuilding. Further facilities are just 8 miles away in Blandford and 11 miles to Dorchester. The cottage dates to 1805, believed to have been a mill worker's residence and has been the much loved and enjoyed home of our sellers for the last ten years. During this time it has been very well maintained and recently the bathroom has been updated with a stylish modern suite and the porch will soon be fitted with new uPVC double glazed windows and a new cottage style composite front door. This delightful home provides well proportioned, bright accommodation with an easy to use layout and has a wonderful contemporary open plan kitchen/dining and family room, which is certainly, the hub of the cottage. The property benefits from oil fired central heating, uPVC double glazing and mains drainage. The cottage must be viewed to really appreciate what is has to offer as well as its' position, which is within easy access to the main A354 , making it an ideal location for those wanting a rural lifestyle but needing to be close to major towns.
