When our youngest was born, we knew we had to move from our 2 bed flat in Penge into a bigger place in 1998. Eventually, we viewed Burlington Road, a stunning 3 bed house with a big garden in a cul de sac. As you can imagine, just by looking at the front of the house with its name "French Villas" we were very intrigued. It felt unique with ample character, and as soon as we walked through the door, we fell in love with the place and the potential it held.

We have extended our patio area, where we have lovely days and evenings under our gazebo (which we would highly recommend the new owners to consider as it feels like an additional spacious room, airy and bright)

The bedrooms have changed a lot over the years, even though the smallest of the 3 rooms now has a single bed, we were able to fit in a double attic bed perfectly with a sofa bed below. Very handy when my son was growing up. This room was redecorated during lockdown by our youngest daughter. The master bedroom was redecorated last August by our two daughters, this was a surprise gift for our anniversary. We would be more than happy to discuss leaving the newly built wardrobes with the new owners. We had thought about doing a loft conversion, but since we have decided to move we decided against doing a loft conversion, we have many neighbours who have done loft extensions.

The favourite feature of our home is the kitchen which leads into the utility room and then straight onto the long garden, where we have had many family parties and BBQs. There is also a breeze block shed at the bottom of the garden that was left by the previous owners.

Transportation in the area is fantastic! Thornton Heath Station is only a 20 min walk or there's a bus around the corner that can take you to West Croydon via Thornton Heath Station or the other way to Lower Sydenham via Crystal Palace.

This home of ours has been nothing short of amazing, with the area being quiet and our neighbours a real joy.

The reason we are leaving our lovely home is because we are moving to Ireland to be with family, especially now that my husband is retired and my parents are getting older.

With that, It is now time for a new family to make their mark on this house and hopes they will have as much love and hope for it that the couple back in 1998 did all those years ago".
