Location

20 Montpellier Grove is situated within the heart of Montpellier, an area of Cheltenham with a cosmopolitan lifestyle having cafes with wonderful on street terraces and wine bars, close to the town centre. Cheltenham became a spa town in 1716, although its popularity flourished after King George III visited in 1788. Its heyday as a spa town was to last from about 1790 to 1840 and it was during these years that many of the town's fine Regency terraces, crescents and villas were built. Today Cheltenham offers a wide range of facilities for everyday living with many shops, restaurants and bars as well as a good selection of excellent schools including Cheltenham Ladies' College, Cheltenham College (co-ed), St Edward's and Dean Close. The town is also well known for the many literary and music festivals that it holds as well as the cricket and national hunt festivals, including the Gold Cup meeting in the spring. Nearby sporting opportunities include squash, tennis and swimming facilities whilst there are also a number of golf courses on the edge of the town. There is easy access to the M5 and a train service to London Paddington from Cheltenham Spa station.
