House For Sale £575,000
Fifehead Magdalen, Gillingham, SP8

Description
Set well back from the lane, Beech House is a handsome semi-detached period house under a tiled roof which has attractive stone mullion windows on the front facade. Attributes worthy of mention include nicely proportioned rooms with good ceiling heights, open fireplaces in the sitting room and bedroom one and sensibly configured accommodation. The kitchen/dining room is a good size with an oil fired AGA, attractive exposed brick walls and paved flooring. Within the last ten years the garden room, with stone mullion windows, has been added which has significantly enhanced the scope of the accommodation with French windows opening into the rear garden. There is access from bedroom two to the loft space with a velux window; although there is restricted head height this could provide an additional space (subject to planning) with the addition of dormer windows.

The property is approached off the lane up a short gravelled drive with car parking space. Steps lead from the drive to the front door with paved path leading to the rear. The driveway is flanked by tall beech hedging on one side and raised flower beds on the other. There is an area of grass with trees providing a screen from the lane. The majority of the garden lies to the rear; there is a grass area with a useful outbuilding with light, water and power and currently configured into two rooms each with a separate access. Leading from this area and through a tall beech hedge, there is a further area of garden with a variety of flowering shrubs including clematis, roses, berberis and soft fruit trees. This is bordered on one side by post and rail fencing.
