Vendors' thoughts: "Before coming to Chipping Croft for the first time, we had spent 3 years looking round traditional Cotswold stone houses boasting a paddock, on the edge of one-pub villages. This was what the Sunday property supplements had told us we wanted but each time we were left cold. They all felt dark and cramped. We looked at Chipping Croft as a bit of a wild card, it was both over budget and in town. However, as soon as we set foot in the drawing room, it was immediately obvious why the other houses had not appealed and why this one was so special. Floor to ceiling glass. A high ceiling at that. Even on a sleety February afternoon the house was unbelievably light and airy compared to the houses we had viewed before. Add to this the huge walled garden, it gave every impression of being a country house, while still being less than a 5 minute walk to all of the restaurants and shops of Tetbury and 100 metres to access the huge range of proper open countryside footpaths that surround the town. Over our time here we have added a large, and of course light filled, kitchen extension along with the oak framed work-from-home-haven at the top of the garden. All good things come to an end though, and as we move to the next phase of our lives, we leave here full of memories of BBQ’s for 50 over Tetbury Wacky Races day and raucous dinners running late into the night and of course, lots and lots of the chaos and hilarity that goes with turning small children into functioning semi-adults."

In a nutshell: A sensational Cotswold home with exceptional Tetbury on the doorstep!
