House For Sale £1,100,000
Lower Wiltown, Curry Rivel, Langport

Description
A highly attractive Grade II Listed farmhouse surrounded by mature landscaped gardens, paddock with stables and ménage. In all 2 Acres.

Situation - The countryside in this part of Somerset has changed little over the centuries and remains some of the most un-spoilt in the country. The vale in which the property lies is gently undulating and is ringed by hills. Most of the small villages in the area comprise of period buildings and owe much of their medieval character to the wealth of the nearby 14th century Benedictine abbey at Muchelney, the tower of which is a well known landmark.
Local shops, popular pub (The Firehouse), a petrol station and a post office are available in the village of Curry Rivel as well as the nearby market towns of Langport and Somerton which offer a range of traditional shops and a supermarket, the larger centres of Yeovil and Taunton are within easy reach.
Whilst retaining its rural character the area is also assessable as the A303 is only about 7 miles to the south. Predominantly dual carriageway to the M3 and London, this it the major London West Country link. Junction 25 of the M5 is 11 miles away at Taunton, which is also on the mainline to Paddington (approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes); an alternative is Castle Cary, or for Waterloo connections, Yeovil.
