From Cricklade follow signs to Purton via the B4553 and remain on this road for about 3 miles and then turn right into Purton Stoke village. Follow the village lane (Stoke CommonLane) through the village and down the hill, at the bottom of the hill turn immediately left onto a track (do not go straight ahead, over a bridge into open countryside). Continue down the track and Water Lane is at the end on the right.
