House For Sale £465,000
Gwilliam Street, Windmill Hill

Description
"What we love most about this house is the feeling of openness and the amount of sky we can see, whilst also feeling the buzz of the city - it is really special. We especially adore the views from the deck at the back of the house, from the fields of Ashton Court to the city skyline. Enjoying a glass of wine on the deck whilst watching the sunset is one of our favourite things to do.
The house itself has some fantastic original features and has real character. We have really enjoyed making the house our home including opening up the kitchen/dining room, allowing us to have a really sociable space. The basement home office is a great space and has proved perfect for working from home.
The area has so much to offer: a brilliant corner shop (with a great local craft beer selection), a short walk to the beautiful Victoria Park, Windmill Hill City Farm, Rising Sun pub and the Bristol Loaf. Then it's only a 10 minute walk to either North Street or Wapping Wharf which has loads of amazing independent cafes, restaurants and bars. All of our neighbours are great and it is a super friendly street; there is a strong sense of community in Windmill Hill which we have loved being part of.'

Gwilliam Street is a quiet street situated in the popular Windmill Hill area of Bristol, a short walk to Bedminster Train Station which takes you directly to Temple Meads or down to Weston Super Mare in the other direction. Windmill Hill is renowned for the fantastic views it offers from many vantage points over Bristol and towards the countryside to the south and west. The area has become one of the most sought after in Bristol over recent years, popular with many for its picturesque streets of charming Victorian homes and the character they offer within. The Victoria Park Pub is the local pub, which offers fantastic food and a welcoming atmosphere. Towards Bedminster, there is the vibrant North Street, housing a diversity of independents, such as the Albatross Cafe, the highly regarded Kask, Oowee Diner as well as the Tobacco factory, a cultural hub of South Bristol with a great lineup of shows. Wapping Wharf is also easily accessible, with amazing eateries including Root, The Bristol Beer Factory, and Seven Lucky Gods. Towards the east of the home, you come across the vast Victoria Park, which is a hive of activity for families, joggers and those looking to socialise. For commuters and young professionals, the house is also well-located, within walking distance of the City Centre and Temple Meads Station and major employers around the Harbourside and Temple Quay. The area also has some well-regarded shops, cafes and pubs, such as The Victoria Park and The Bristol Loaf, and Windmill Hill City Farm is a popular attraction very close by and has a great café and regular events and pop ups.

Set over three floors with gorgeous views over Bristol is this Victorian Terrace which has been refurbished by its current owners to create a beautiful family home. As you enter on the ground level there is a reception room to the front with period fireplace, wooden floors and fitted shelves to the alcoves. To the rear is a fabulous family/dining room which is open plan to the kitchen and has stripped wooden floors and Crittall doors to the sunny rear terrace. The kitchen has been recently renovated and has dark green units, butlers sink, induction hob, integrated appliances and further door to the terrace and window to enjoy the views. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms and a modern bathroom. Downstairs in the basement is a study/third bedroom with utility area and loo, an excellent addition of flexible space. The garden is accessed by the stairs from the terrace and has a lawn and mature shrubs.
