Picture No. 24

2 bed Flat For Sale £300,000
Westward Ho, Bideford

Description
Introducing your seaside escape! This purpose-built 2 Bedroom flat offers wonderful sea views, modern, light and airy living and the opportunity to own a premium home in a picture-perfect location.

Lundy Court, itself, is set within a private and secure gated development, accessed via wrought iron gates which lead you to the paved parking area. You will immediately notice how well cared-for this communal area is - the theme which continues wherever you look.

Upon entering the building, you can either take the stairs or the lift to the Lower Ground Floor. What struck me when I first visited number 22 was the amount of natural light in the flat from the moment you enter the Entrance Hall. From here, double doors lead you to the glorious Lounge / Kitchen / Diner with UPVC double glazed windows and a door to the front and side elevation - this fantastic room makes the most of the glorious coastal outlook. There is ample space for living and dining furniture and with a fitted Kitchen to the rear of the room, there couldn't possibly be a better heart to this home.

There are 2 double Bedrooms, the largest of which offers incredible sea views from the sliding doors and a very generous En-suite. The second Bedroom also has an En-suite and separate Cloakroom can be found at the end of the Entrance Hall.

Outside, and easily accessed from the private Balcony, are the lawned communal gardens with the very same coastal views.

Westward Ho! is a village, lying north of Bideford and west of Appledore. There are many country walks around the village and the outlying areas, including the popular Northam Burrows, Appledore Quay and the nearby Westward Ho! Beach. Originally called Bideford Quay, it was named Westward Ho! after Charles Kingsley’s book of the same name. Nowadays, it’s a bold mix of the old and the modern. It’s a popular spot with families that return year on year. Surfers and horse riders love the long sandy beach.

Local amenities include newsagents, mini supermarkets, take-aways and a post office. There’s also a primary school, health and dental centre and a number of churches in the area. Northam also has a decent public swimming pool and gym too. You’ll never be short of places to eat and drink with Appledore, Bideford and Abbotsham on your doorstep with their cornucopia of restaurants and pubs.

It’s within short driving distance of the Atlantic Highway (A39) that is the main feeder route across the region leading to Wadebridge in Cornwall to the south-west and to the M5 by Tiverton in the east. A bus service provides access to North Devon’s ‘capital’, Barnstaple. Bus users can also reach Bideford, Braunton, Croyde and Ilfracombe.

Directions
From Bideford Quay proceed towards Northam passing the War Memorial on your left hand side and take the next left hand turning onto Bay View Road. Travel to the very end of Bay View Road and proceed straight across onto Cornborough Road. Take the first right hand turning into Stanwell Drive. Follow this road as it bears around to your right and then to your left to where the entrance gates leading to the complex will be found directly in front of you. At this point, one of our agents will meet you to grant access.
