House For Sale £1,500,000
Stock, Ingatestone

Description
SELLERS INSIGHT We have lived here for 19 years with our two children and my wifes mother. We chose this house as it had plenty of room for a family but also a small annexe for my mother-in-law which meant she could live with us but still keep her independence. We extended her annexe to include a kitchen, larger lounge and conservatory.

8 years ago we extended our house again to include a double storey annexe for my parents, my father needing disabled access in and out of the house which included a downstairs bedroom and wet room and the ceiling joists are suitable for hoists to be attached. There is a pretty balcony so he could enjoy his breakfast in the sunshine.
We added an air source pump at this time. We have solar panels which runs the pump and generates income as excess electricity gets sold back to the national grid

Our lives, over the years, have largely been centred around Stock Village where we were heavily involved in village life. Our two daughters attended Stock School, my wife worked at the Outstanding Ofsted rated Stock Pre School and ran 1st Stock Brownies. The village is about a mile from the house, so it's within easy walking distance.

The village itself has 4 great pubs, a lovely independent coffee shop and restaurant, a multi award winning florist, two convenience stores and an award winning hair salon. It also has a spa hotel and a golf course.
It has three churches of different denominations. There are a whole host of clubs for all ages from Beavers, Cubs and Scouts to over 60's club, drama society and the horticultural society to name but a few. There is also a bowls club and cricket club, each with its own facilities. There is an excellent doctors surgery with its own pharmacy attached in the village which is great!

There is a lovely pub about 300 metres from the house and a petrol station with a little Waitrose attached which is really handy.
We have a regular bus service which takes you to Chelmsford City centre in one direction, great for shopping and its excellent grammar schools and also an independent school. The other direction takes you to Billericay with two high schools and an independent school as well as an extensive high street.
Billericay has a train station which has a regular service between southend and London (London being 32 mins)

Our family's favourite room is the large lounge as at christmas in particular everyone comes to us and there is plenty of room with the added comfort of the wood burning stove.
The back garden is a lovely, sheltered area which is quiet and spacious enough for parties and barbeque's, it's a real sun trap.
We've had a few gatherings with the neighbours over the years along Stock Road and Foxborough Chase which has been fun.

We are going to miss our house and its location but it's time for us to downsize and move on and let another family enjoy this lovely home and take it on a new journey with its vast flexibility.
