Telford Central Station, Telford Shopping Centre and The Forge Retail Park are approximately 1.6 km (1 mile) south ofOakengates. There are two leisure facilities nearby; Oakengates Leisure Centre which is a 4 minute drive north and Nuffield Health Telford which is a 7 minute drive south. Rail
Oakengates Railway Station is typically served Monday to Sunday by trains running every hour in each direction between Birmingham NewStreet and Shrewsbury via Wolverhampton, with extra trains also running at peak times within the week. These services are primarily operated by West Midlands Trains with Transport for Wales providing a service on late evenings through the week

Bus
Oakengates has 15 stops served by 8 bus routes. Oakensgates Bus Station was renovated in 2019/20 with new, larger bus shelters to accommodate more passengers and ease traffic when buses arrive together

Car
Oakengates is primarily served by the A442 which leads north towards Stoke on Trent via the A518 and south towards the M54 which connects Shrewsbury and Birmingham. Telford and Wrekin .
