House For Sale £775,000
Sunset Gardens, London, SE25

Description

*Vendor Comments* "We fell in love with this house the first time we saw it! Everything we felt was so different from what we had seen, a spacious corridor and landing, a big garden and a stunning bathroom.

We have two double bedrooms and a single good size bedroom, the second double bedroom has a spacious wall-to-wall mirror wardrobe, still allowing plenty of room in the bedroom. The fireplaces are originals though never used and a stunning feature giving that warm feel to the rooms.

We have added two air conditioning units - one in the main corridor downstairs and one on the landing upstairs ( a godsend in summer), we also added gold-plated taps in the bathroom and I personally painted the bathroom coves in fine gold paint.

I spent most of my summers in the garden - you wouldn't even think you were in London, surrounded by beautiful trees and the sound of birds, even wild parakeets and squirrels. So serene and calm. There are two patios, on different levels, before you reach the 100-foot garden. We had the patio extended just outside the dining room, allowing for a swing and reclining chairs. The lower patio has space for a garden table and four chairs, which is in front of a beautiful rose bush when in full bloom and an extensive array of passion flowers on the side. The garden had a lovely huge Xmas tree and a big cooking apple tree, a summer house, two sheds (one not in use) and an entrance to the garage.

I saw the pictures from the estate agent and shed a tear, I am very sad to sell our home of almost 20 years but sadly it has come time to move on, so we have to part ways.

This quiet cul-de-sac has amazing neighbours, a great neighbourhood watch and a busy WhatsApp group chat. Everyone helps everyone and we all have get-togethers at Christmas and street parties whenever possible. So much so we even hold each other's house keys and tend to share whatever excess fruits, vegetables, or necessities they may in excess. South Norwood Lakes is a 5-minute walk, and there are two primary schools just off the main road. Buses and trains take you straight to the city with Norwood Junction railway station being within close proximity and there is a main Sainburys store in both Crystal Palace & Whitehorse lane which are very convenient.

There are two parking spaces as well as a garage one by the side of the house in front of the garage and another in the front of the house off the main road. There are also 2 entrances to the house, the main front door and a side door leading straight to the kitchen. We decided to use the main door as we required more space in the kitchen for the American-style fridge freezer which currently impedes the side access to the house but can be removed easily. There is plenty of space for extensions but we never felt the need for it as we never had any children but this is definitely a family home with room to expand and add value.

I can guarantee that whoever moves into this house, will be extremely lucky and happy, as we have been for so many years".
