Description
Charming village house in a lovely tucked away position with delightful landscaped gardens, garaging and studio.

Description

Occupying a tucked away position, Beech Cottage is an attractive detached house with delightful gardens, a studio/gym and summer house.

The house was built in 2000 in a traditional style and displays rendered elevations, reclaimed pantile roof. A timber porch provides cover for the solid timber front door which leads through to the entrance hall/dining room.

This dining hall occupies the heart of the house and is ideal for formal dining, with a brick built chimneypiece with an inset wood burning stove, and reclaimed wood flooring, which flows through to the kitchen/breakfast room.

The triple aspect kitchen/breakfast room has granite work surfaces, an island, AGA and integrated appliances including an electric hob and oven, wine fridge, fridge and dishwasher. Bi-folding doors lead out to the terrace, perfect for al fresco dining and entertaining.

The double aspect sitting room has a red brick fireplace with an inset wood burning stove and French windows out to the garden.

Completing the ground floor are a study; a rear hall/boot room, which leads directly out to the rear garden; a useful utility room; and a WC.

The first floor landing leads to the four bedrooms and the family bathroom. The principal bedroom is an especially fine, double aspect room, with ample storage and an en suite shower room.

Beech Cottage sits within grounds of about 0.3 of an acre; the delightful and private gardens are landscaped with herbaceous and shrub borders, established specimen trees and a fish pond.

There is an excellent, double aspect studio, presently used as a gym, which could be used as a home office. There is a further summerhouse, used as a sauna and further garden store and a wood store.

There is ample gated parking over a shingle drive, a double garage and cart lodge.

Location

Beech Cottage is at the very end of a dead end lane in the hamlet of Moats Tye, in the heart of mid-Suffolk. It is home to the independent Regal Cinema and the John Peel Centre for Creative Arts, which hosts regular music and cultural events.
