House For Sale £400,000
Colwell Road, Haywards Heath, RH16

Description

Overview. There are many reasons why we have fallen in love with this home and we are certain that buyers will too. Built in 1830, this cottage is located on the quiet no through section of Colwell Road and therefore benefits from very little passing traffic. As you enter the home you instantly get a sense of space which is felt throughout the home. The double fronted sitting room benefits from a log burner which creates a cosy feel for those colder evenings and flows through to the second reception room, which the current owners are using as a study. The kitchen/diner is located at the rear of the home which overlooks the rear garden and allows plenty of light to flow in. The kitchen space works well with ample prep area, space for appliances and plenty of storage. On the first floor, the accommodation and layout allows the sense of space to continue. Bedroom one is a good size with space for wardrobes. The second and third bedrooms are both double bedrooms too. Bedroom two has a pull down ladder to access the loft room, a great feature of the home. The first floor accommodation is completed by a large family bathroom with additional storage. Outside is a private west facing rear garden with side access.

The Council Tax is band D and the property tenure is Freehold.

Location. One of the key features of this home is the location on Colwell Road. Located on the southern side of Haywards Heath, this section of Colwell Road has the benefit of being a no through road and therefore the only passing traffic is to a handful of other properties. Access into the town is provided by nearby Wivelsfield Road or Franklyn Road. Since the opening of the A272 bypass road, access out to Cuckfield and the A23/M23 is much simpler and quicker task than it used to be. To the south and on the eastern side of Burgess Hill is access to Wivelsfield Green and towards Ditchling and Brighton, whilst the A272 East leads you to Uckfield and beyond to Tunbridge Wells. Brighton can be found 15 miles to the south, whilst a short drive north takes you to Crawley and London Gatwick. The countryside is not far from your front door, National Trust facilities are located locally at Wakehust Place and Nymans Gardens, with Sheffield Park less than 15 minutes by road. Pretty villages surround Haywards Heath and include Lindfield, Cuckfield, Ardingly and Wivelsfield Green.
