What The Seller Says -

"Our home is an oasis of calm backing onto a peaceful and leafy garden.

Downstairs, there is a spacious open-plan living area, which we have fully redesigned, extended, and refurbished just over a year ago. It is bright and airy, with beautiful newly-installed double-glazed wooden sash windows and a 3-meter-wide skylight, maximising the natural light that comes from the south facing view over the garden. Collaborating with an architect, we designed the space with friends and family in mind.

We especially love cooking in the beautifully designed kitchen as we chat to our guests lounging in the dining area or on the sofas, all the while maintaining a sense of generous openness.

On a sensible note, everything is finished to a high specification, with newly installed insulation ensuring it is very energy efficient to heat, and new electricals and plumbing, which we have even made sure is ready for conversion to an air-source heat pump (if the future owners take the exciting plunge in eco-friendly heating!).

Upstairs, you will find the bedrooms and the bathroom, which creates a nice sense of separation between the day-time and night-time spaces, which we have especially appreciated when home-working. The bedrooms look directly over the rear garden, so during the summer months we leave the sash windows wide open, day and night, enjoying the fresh air and the sound of the woodpeckers, parakeets, woodpigeons and other birds we still have not worked out!

We have put a lot of care and energy into the garden, which is now a space that nourishes our flourishing interest in vegetable and fruit growing. This year the garden has produced apples, raspberries, damsons, courgettes, squashes, lettuce, rocket, peas, beans, leeks, potatoes, chard and tomatoes. In fact, there was such an abundance that we stopped our veg box over summer. There is plenty of space for outdoor eating and barbequing, gathering around a bonfire, or just lounging and sunbathing.

Out in the neighbourhood, we are lucky enough to have lovely neighbours on both sides and an amazingly thriving yet peaceful surrounding area. Within a five-minute walk, we regularly stroll to the Telegraph Hill parks, with their beautiful view over the London skyline and weekly farmers-market, a great independent pizza cafe where we have spent too much time, a thriving community centre (yoga, music, coffee mornings), and the famous Skehan’s pub as well. In under ten minutes on our bikes, or a twenty-minute walk, we roll into the best and most fun spots in the hearts of Brockley, Peckham and Deptford and we hugely enjoy being able to easily drop-into something perfectly suiting whatever mood we are in.

As you can probably tell, we love this home and will be sad to pass it over, but our next chapter is calling – as it seems it is for you too."
