Planning information
As discussed, Tingdene were granted a Caravan Site Licence on 5th June 2023 by NELC in accordance with Part 1 of the Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960. This licence provides that:1.Caravans may be placed on any plot of land on the Holiday Park without the need for further planning consent;2.There is no requirement for the caravan to be fabricated in line with the Chalet Design Guide3.The caravan(s) are accessible for 10 months of the year, pursuant to Planning Consent 08/92/0213, dated 25th June 1992.4.There is no 10-year restriction applicable to the installation of the caravan; and5.The caravans may be used as residential caravans for the 10-month occupancy period in each year.The licence enables individual leaseholders that are issued with permission from Tingdene to station a caravan on their plot(s).The site licence, issued under Permitted Development Rights, enables Tingdene to construct a base for the siting of the caravan structure, roadways, pathways and the installation of services or media that may be required to supply the caravan. No further planning permission is required for the Permitted Development works to be undertaken.Caravans that Tingdene may permit are defined by three key aspects, and should not be confused with the types of static caravans on Thorpe Park:1.The caravans are moveable if required;2.The caravans meet a maximum size of 20m x 6.7m; and3.The caravans are constructed of a maximum of two parts that when joined together are moveable, if required, as one unit.
