North Devon's famous surfing beaches at Croyde, Putsborough, Saunton (also with championship golf course) and Woolacombe, are all within about ? an hour by car.

Directions - Approaching Combe Martin on the A3123, ignore the turning to Berrynarbor and continue for about a 1.5 miles. As you drop down the hill the entrance to Withycombe (shown on a low wooden sign to the right of the access) is immediately in front of the Combe Martin road sign on the righthand side of the road. Turn into this private 'no through' lane and continue for about 100 yards where there is a pathway leading up to the woodland.

Parking - Although there is no designated parking with the land, the best place to park is at the entrance to the road where there are pull in places at the top of the hill.
