Description If it really is all about location then Wall Holm is unrivalled - its beautifully peaceful lakeshore location is just a few hundred yards from the centre of Glenridding, well supplied with local shops and traditional Lakeland Inns. You can walk from the doorstep to a wonderful array of fell tops (Helvellyn being just one amongst many), you can sail or paddle (we are thinking Canoe here - not rolling your trousers up - although it is an option) to any of the charming villages and hamlets around Ullswater - arguably Lakelands prettiest lake. Or you could of course choose to simply put your feet up and just sit and absorb that view - and who could blame you? It is truly something else.

To be honest, we could wax lyrical for pages about the accommodation on offer - from the entrance porch the hallway leads to a wonderful family kitchen and there is a separate dining room, perfect for entertaining, plus a superb sitting room, all with magnificent lake views. On the first floor are three well proportioned double bedrooms, with Bedroom one having an en-suite, plus the house bathroom. There are two car parking spaces and simply wonderful lawned gardens. But ultimately it is not really about the excellent quality of the accommodation is it. Not in this location. Not with this view. We defy anyone to come and visit Wall Holm and not find their jaw dropping as they look out on the sensational panorama laid out before them. With over 20 M of lake frontage the property offers superb lake access for anyone with an interest in water sports in - and the jetty is just perfect. For those who might prefer to take a more laid back approach and while away the hours in quiet contemplation with a cool drink gazing out over the sparkling waters to the surrounding fells, the lakeshore decking makes the perfect spot for relaxation.

You do not have to just take our word for it, Wall Holm has featured in The Sunday Times as one of the Top 100 Coolest Cottages in the UK, and also featured in an article in The Times as enjoying "one of the best views in England." Not bad credentials, whether you are seeking a wonderful family home, a tranquil weekend retreat or a highly popular and successful holiday let.

Planning permission was granted 28/6/22 (7/2022/3085) to improve the house yet further, including extending the sitting room, reorganising the first floor and enlarging and creating a downstairs bedroom to create a truly impressive house to take full advantage of the location.

Why not come and judge for yourself, but be prepared to fall in love with Wall Holm.
