You must notify us of any changeto the household details during the tenancy period.Rent to Buy All you need to knowThe tenancy agreementYou will be required to enter into an Assured ShortholdTenancy Agreement which will be fixed for the first 6months.This is a Rent to Buy tenancy allowing you to rent yourhome on a reduced rent to work towards becominga home owner after the initial five year period. Thetenancy agreement will need to be signed by bothyou and Beyond Housing before you move into yourhome. You will be provided with a copy of the tenancyagreement during the application process to give youtime to read and understand the commitment youare entering into. The tenancy agreement will set outthe responsibilities of both Beyond Housing as yourlandlord and yourself as our customer. This will includeyour liability for paying your rent and upkeep of theproperty. It will also detail our responsibilities to youas a tenant and your responsibilities to us as landlord.The tenancy agreement is a legally binding contractand it is important to remember that any breach of theagreement could lead to further action being taken toend the tenancy. A reservation fee will apply.Rent and service chargepaymentsThe rental amount will be set at 80% of the currentopen market rental value, including any service chargepayments. Rent and service charges are reviewedannually on 1 April.These will be calculated in line with the detailsstipulated within your tenancy agreement and will bechecked to ensure they do not exceed 80% of the openmarket value.A service charge is the payment collected to cover anyexternal or internal communal costs, such as communalopen space. Should a service charge be payable for yourproperty, you will be provided with a breakdown of thecosts. You will be required to pay the service chargewhile you are our customer and also once you purchaseyour home on either a freehold or shared ownershipbasis and we will provide you with an up-to dateschedule at that time.Rent payments will be collected on a monthly basis inadvance.
