Description

Dating back to the 15th century this beautiful house has been
subject of an exceptional project of renovation and restoration over recent years. It is Grade II* Listed of Special Architectural or Historical interest and is one of the finest houses within the village. The house offers over 6,000 sq ft of accommodation and is constructed of timber frame with an 18th century classic
façade under pitched tiled roofs. Many of the windows have south facing views of the formal gardens. The accommodation is particularly appealing with superbly proportioned reception rooms having high ceilings, open fireplaces, stone and boarded
floors. The older part of the house has exposed timbers, a
wood burner in the sitting room, panelled walls and many
original features.

Outside
The house is accessed by double electric gates that sweep round the front of the house culminating in a parking sweep to the rear of the house and fronting a double garage and range of stores. The gardens are a magnificent feature with numerous herbaceous beds, box hedging, clipped yews and flower borders. There are several seating areas, wide lawns and more informal wooded areas around the perimeter. There is walled sunken garden with pond, a vegetable garden with
raised beds and greenhouse and a lower garden with fruit
cage and a further nature pond. There is a delightful garden house which takes full advantage of the stunning outlooks over
these beautiful formal gardens with the magnificent church tower in the distance.
