Turnham Drive, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire

Description
Why buy this home?

All too often townhouses are not seen as family friendly due to their layouts – with the main bedroom normally on the top floor and children’s bedrooms therefore on a different level. However, this home was designed with families in mind, offering the buyer the chance to use the abundance of flexible space in a way that suits them.

At the end of the entrance hall is the open plan kitchen/dining/living area, perfect for socialising or for all the family to be together. Originally designed to be a spacious kitchen/diner, a small extension has been added to create a fabulous space with room for sofas - allowing you to use the lounge on the floor above as another bedroom if required. The entirety of the downstairs has tiled flooring which is easy to keep clean and along with the media wall in the living area, it gives a sleek, contemporary feel. Sliding patio doors open on to the rear garden allowing it to become an extension of the home during the warmer months. There is an understairs storage cupboard in this area where the current owner keeps their tumble dryer and within which further storage is available.

The kitchen is fitted with contrasting white and black high gloss units and has subway tiles enhancing the modern feel of the home. A double ceramic sink is positioned under a window overlooking the front of the property and fitted appliances include two ovens with grills, a microwave, and a coffee machine. There is additional space for a washing machine and a dishwasher.

The rear garden is a nice size and has both a patio and a decked area - which is the perfect place to catch up with friends over a glass of wine or a barbeque, and there is a small lawned area. There is a side passage allowing access to the front of the property and here you will find a tap with both hot and cold water. The current owners purchased an additional piece of land at the rear of the garden and created the perfect place to grow fruit and vegetables in a large, raised bed. The garage and two parking spaces for the property can be accessed via this area of the garden. The garage has been reworked to create a gym area but still has plenty of storage, including in the eaves.

The first floor has the main bedroom and another room which was originally designed to be the living room. This room offers flexibility to the new owner and could be a bedroom, a playroom, a games room, an office, or could simply be used as a living room again (should there be a clash of TV programmes from downstairs!). The main bedroom is a good size in which you can comfortably fit all the furniture you would require, and it is serviced by an en-suite shower room.

On the top floor you will find three further bedrooms and the family bathroom, allowing options to sleep on the same floor as your children should you prefer this. The second bedroom benefits from an en-suite so this could be used as the main bedroom and the third bedroom is also a very good size. The fourth bedroom is a single room, ideal for a young child but would make a lovely nursery or a home office if required. If you have older children then this floor would suit them should they want a bit of independence away from the rest of the house.

The loft is fully boarded and a good size so provides ample storage space.
