A unique opportunity to acquire and establish a honeyberry nursery with room for expansion.
Approximately 4.88 hectares (12.05 acres)
The land at Bankhead of Kirkbuddo comprises two fields of good quality arable ground partly laid out as a honeyberry nursery.
The land is classified as Class 3:1/3:2 on the Land Capability for Agricultural Scale provided by the James Hutton Institute and is capable of growing a range of good yielding arable crops. Historically, the rotations have included spring barley and potatoes.
The land is available as a whole or in lots and can be summarised as follows:
Lot 1 The land comprising Lot 1 extends to approximately 2.28 hectares (5.63 acres) and is currently laid out to permanent grass with a poly tunnel containing honeyberries and a number of nursery beds.
There is a small area of amenity ground on the west boundary.
There is approximately 0.76 hectares (1.88 acres) of honeyberries established in the north of the land.
Lot 2 A block of prime arable land extending to approximately 2.60 hectares (6.42 acres).
The field is currently in an arable silage crop but in the past has grown a variety of crops including cereals and potatoes.
The land at Lot 2 would lend itself to being included in the honeyberry nursery.
